Swamp Magic

Swamp Magic is a funky saltmarsh synthpunk duo based in the Maritimes.  Their music is weird, but in a really cozy way, conjuring up the mystique and splendour of the marshlands they call home. Their influences are various, throwing into their cauldron sounds from New Orleans funk to Bristol trip hop, 70s Krautrock to 80s synthpop. They knew they found their name when they first saw the banner spanning the porta potty bay at Sappyfest. “Someday,” they vowed, “we’ll play that stage.”
