Since 2014, Carlyn Bezic and Amanda Crist have been sending pulses through the underground as Ice Cream. One part DNA, one part 1999, with a live show that vibrates between cold stares and raw sensuality, they're soundtracking a dance party for dark times.
The sly humour of their lyrics sits on top of blown out drum machines, Moog synths, and distorted guitars. They sing love songs to mannequins, about soap solving all your problems, or from the perspective of a young woman in a cult. Combined with the fury of their playing and their decidedly pop slant, they conjure a fever dream out of what it means to be women in hypercapitalist society.
